Comparison of sports systems in the Czech Republic and Finland

Title: Comparison of sports systems in the Czech Republic and Finland Objectives: The main goal of the thesis is to compare sports systems in the Czech Republic and Finland based on eight specified aspects. Methods: Analysis of secondary documents, primarily documents issued by ministries and sports associations, and the comparative method were the two main methods used for the thesis. Results: The thesis revealed significant differences between the sports systems in the Czech Republic and Finland. The differences were found primarily in budget allocation, talent development and sports funding. The Finnish sports system is more advanced in most of the analysed aspects. Financial support of sport in the town Louny

Title: Financial support of sport by the town of Louny Objectives: The main aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the financing and organization of sport in Louny, with greater emphasis on the financing of sport by the town of Louny. Another object is to find out, what the leaders of sports organizations in the town think about the financial support by the town of Louny. Methods: In this thesis a method of descriptive analysis and interview was used. Descriptive analysis was applied to evaluate the internal materials of the Municipal Office Louny. Information in these materials was supplemented by informal interviews with staff of the Municipal Office Louny. Structured interviews were conducted with the representatives of sports organizations in Louny in order to assess the financial support of sport by the town of Louny. Results: The thesis describes the organization of sport in the frame of the Municipal Office Louny, the methodology of allocating of financial support for sport and it displays specific sums of money intended for sport in Louny. I found out, that financial support for sport in Louny has decreased in the last two years. According to interviews we can evaluate the described situation positively. The future of motocross sport in the Czech Republic

Title: The Future of Motocross sport in the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to assess chosen factors influencing international success in motocross in the Czech Republic within the current system and development in the previous 40 years. Methods: This is a mixed research. The qualitative and quantitative research methods were used. The semi-structured interviews were made with three experts from motocross sport. Two of them were representatives of the Autoclub of the Czech Republic and one was from regional motocross center. The electronic interrogation method for Czech elite motocross riders and document analysis were also used. Results: Motocross was a very successful sport in the history of the Czech Republic. The results showed that even though funds are important in the motocross, the organisation of this sport in the Czech Republic is still primarily based on voluntariness. There is no promotion of motocross in the Czech Republic, so there is also a lack of popularity and funding. The survey showed dissatisfaction of motocross riders with the work of the Autoclub, riders do not feel support and also negatively evaluated communication from Autoclub. Draft of the license system for the highest men league for Czech Floorball Union

Diploma thesis focuses on floorball in the Czech Republic with purpose to suggest the draft of the license system for the highest men league for Czech Floorball Union. The current organization of floorball is presented also the problem, objectives and stakeholders are defined with application of managerial decision-making. Key areas which can provide healthy development of the highest league are financial, technical, player and personal criterions. The clubs must accomplish all aspects in order to take part in the competition. The draft is compiled based on interests of stakeholders, analysis of current conditions, analysis of license systems of different sports in the Czech Republic and of floorball in foreign countries. Process of implementation with risks and possible restrictions is also draw up, so that Czech Floorball Union can use this thesis within the final execution of license system.

Policy of sport talented youth promotion in the Czech Republic and republic of Austria

Title: Policy of sport talented youth promotion in the Czech Republic and republic of Austria Objectives: Main goal of this thesis is focused on comparison between Czech and Austrian policy of talented youth in sport. To find out the biggest differences between these two systems and due to this findings try to suggest recommendation to one or the other country. Methods: Comparative analysis based on the collected secondary data. Results: Both systems are different in all areas that I compared. There are some slight differences as some bigger once. Diverse organization of sport, funding of sport but the main difference was found within the school system in a matter of support to students in their sport career as at the same time educationally. Sport activities of the persons with mental disabilities

Title: Sports activities for people with mental disabilities Purpose: Give information about the sport of individuals with mental retardation at the sports club level and its personal and materiál provision. Methods of research: Quantitative analysis was used for this thesis. To attain the purpose of research were used non-standard questionnaire . This non-standard questionnaire obtained 23 questions to determine personal and professional provisions at sports clubs associated with the Czech Associaton of Mentalyy Disabled Athletes and also actions where these individual clubs are participating. Results: Based on the research we were able to determine that 63% representatives associated with the Czech Association of Mentally Disabled Athletes have pedagogical education. 73 % of their activity is voluntary, often without any compensation. Material, space and personal conditions are acceptable at club level but possibilities for improvement are in all spheres. Organization of Sports Activities in selected Foreign Universities

The aim of the thesis is to identify and compare the organization of sports activities of academic clubs at selected universities. The goal of the thesis is to find out how students perceive the importance of university sports and how is the historical development of university sports reflected in its current form. The objective is fulfilled via qualitative research method enabled by explorative nature of research. The individual data from various sources collected by method of questioning, interviewing and study of documents were concentrated and subsequently evaluated. The thesis concludes that the organization of academic sports clubs is different in several examined criteria. Another conclusion is that students have positive attitude towards sport at universities and perceive it as an importance for them and for every university. The organization of academic sports clubs is bonded to traditions acquired through the historical development, but the importance is not as significant as in the past.
